I have recently been thinking about what the best options are for conducting meetings online. There are lots of different options, it seems. From GoToMeeting to Skype to FaceTime for Mac. Today, I read an article for iMeet and have to say it seems a little steep in cost. But if everyone seems to choose the same platform and you have people in the field, it may not be a bad option for synchronous communication. I still personally prefer Skype for a small group, as you can do it with most mobile platforms, but there are lots of factors to consider. You have to consider the bandwidth people are on and what type of device people have access too. And then, there is the budgetary factor as well. Sometimes, it is better to utilize the good old mobile phone for a voice-call but more alternatives are becoming available for a price.
